Soldier Harold Mills

Harold Mills in uniform (Small)Harold Mills was born in Lancashire in 1889 and for a while he worked for his local Co-operative Society store.

In 1910 he married Ada Millard, from Heath Hayes and the young couple settled in a property in Hednesford Road.

Harold soon found work locally as a labourer, until in December 1915 he enlisted with the Royal Artillery.

Harold survived World War One and after the war he continued to live locally with his wife and two children. He died c.1958.
